I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy using various evidence-based practices that are tailored to each client and their situation. The modalities that I have found the most helpful in supporting client’s growth are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-based practices, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Substance and Alcohol use

Substance and alcohol use become an issue when someone is using it more than they would like, there have been negative consequences to the use, or it is getting in the way of other things that the individual wishes to be spending more time and energy on. There are varying degrees of substance use and I take pride in working with individuals from a non-judgmental perspective to help them determine for themselves if their substance use is out of balance and how to make the necessary changes.
